With the help of trained facilitators, you’ll get up in the trees like never before. Using the same professional equipment that arborists and scientists use when they ascend into the treetops, highly trained and experienced facilitators will teach you everything you need to know to get harnessed up, in the saddle, and headed toward the treetops. Once you’re at a height that’s comfortable for you, you’ll be free to swing, spin, bounce, walk the branches, or just hang out in a tree.  It’s your adventure!

Mercury Marine Family Fishing Tournament

This free Family Fishing Tournament is held on Oven Island with children lining the banks of the two north channels, often shoulder to shoulder. The catch is weighed on electronic scales with the most weight winning. Contestants may choose to fish both days or only one day of their choice. It’s the beginning of summer, so let’s go fishing!


Trophies awarded each day 15 minutes after close of tournament. All places (first-fifth) win trophies. Results to be determined by dividing the total number of pounds of fish caught by the family by the number of registered participants per family. In case of a tie, the winner with the biggest fish wins. Advance registration is encouraged, but not required.

Mercury Marine National Boat Demo Experience

Boating enthusiasts are invited to the South end of Oven Island during the Mercury National Walleye Event to take a boat demo ride. Whether your looking to repower your current boat, upgrade or buy a new rig you won’t want to miss this great opportunity to experience the latest boat models and engines available. Participating dealers will be announced.


Demo’s will board/unload from the Oven Island channel docks at the times specified. All participants must be 16 years of age or older. Experienced drivers will conduct the demo rides and Mercury ambassadors will be on hand to assist with questions. All participants must sign a waiver release and life jackets will be provided and must be worn at all times while on the boats.

The 2018 Walleye Weekend Yoga experience will offer participants and observers an introduction to the variety of approaches to the practice of Yoga.

Ecumenical Service

Essential Rock Church, in conjunction with several other Protestant churches, announces an ecumenical outdoor Christian worship service at Walleye Weekend on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. on the Spectrum 97.7 Music Stage East. Bring friends, family, co-workers and your lawn chairs or blanket and enjoy a biblical message, faithful prayer, and wonderful worship. This 1-hour service can be followed by a whole day of event activities.

Several local pastors will preside over the service and share God’s word. Holy Communion will be served and all are welcome to prepare their hearts and partake with their church/pastor of choice.

Matt Kolb

Matt Kolb will perform live on stage following the June 10 Sunday morning Ecumenical church service. Matt Kolb is a soulful singer and songwriter from Northeast Wisconsin. His acoustic style borders on a folk and contemporary Christian sound that draws people to the throne room of God within his songs of encouragement and testimony. He has become a Wisconsin favorite, playing festivals such as Lifest and Harmony by the Bay. Kolb’s christian album releases include: “Come Awake!” in 2016.  “The Seed” (2013) and “To Serenade the King” (2015). Join the ecumenical church service provided by local area churches followed at 10:30 am with Matt Kolb’s concert!


Dedication of Park Benches

As we commemorate the 40th anniversary of Walleye Weekend, please join us by honoring the people having made this festival not only a vision, but a reality proudly serving our community. Attend the dedication of two park benches located on the northeast side of Oven Island overlooking the channel. One bench is in honor of Tom Hierl, and in memory of Bruce Stumbras, 1978 Walleye Weekend co-chairs. The other bench is in honor of Jo Ann Ward, founder of Walleye Weekend. The bench honoring Tom Hierl and Bruce Stumbras is made possible by the Jo Ann Ward Fund and the bench honoring Jo Ann Ward is made possible by the Bob and Dorothy Royea Fund of the Fond du Lac Area Foundation.
