In 2024, the High School Home Run Derby returns!

Saturday, June 8^th

Start-time: 8pm

Finale: 9pm (Awards to follow)

Location: Softball Island

Open to all high schoolers (including Class of 2024 – 2028). Sign up today for the Walleye Weekend Home Run Derby incorporating lighting & sound effects,  walk-up music, and some good old-fashioned shenanigans. First 24 to sign up will be accepted to compete (all genders). Contestants must bring their own pitcher, softball bat, and at least 4 fielders to shag balls. The first 10 hits will be counted, with the top contestants making it to the finale.

Entry is $10.00 and is non-refundable.  All participants must be at Softball Island’s main field by 7:45pm to check in and pick your “walk-up” music.

*In order to have 2 classes, there must be a minimum of 12 contestants signed up.  Classes will be based on age and gender. Top finisher in each class will win a $200 gift certificate to Jack’s Team Sports and 2nd place will win an Easton Sport Duffle. *If 8 or more females sign up, one “Top Finisher” will be awarded to the female with the most home runs scored in the finale.  If 7 or fewer females register, two “Top Finishers” will be based on age breakdown.
